Antique & Design Happenings

Posted on by admin

I cannot believe how the time has flown!

I have had two sales events.  Both were fun and fabulous, but in different ways.

On April 15th from 1:00 – 6:00 “The Squirrels Nest” and www.charlestonantiquestores co hosted a sales event.  The event was on a sunny day and the outside was a magic place to sit at old wrought iron table and chairs and drink freshly made lemonade and iced tea while munching on goodies.  You could shop outside and in and everything was “specially priced for this event”.  There were wrought iron fences both small and large, old metal garden things and old ladders galore!  Inside every corner had treasures from ironstone, depression glass, old china, transferware and more!  Old boxes, tables, desks, chairs and everything vintage was sitting up proud and tall.  A lot of Michelle’s old customers came to help celebrate!  I expected some new people from my newsblast to Charleston Antique Stores, but few showed up.  We need everyone’s support to shop locally and to buy “green” (old pieces.

On May 23rd Chic Antique in Mt. Pleasant and Charleston Antique Stores joined forces for a very successful “Spring Event”  Old and new customers were there sipping wine, having appetizers and looking at all of the “new” inventory.  Every space was filled with sitting vignettes.  Painted and unpainted antiques were highlighted with delightful pieces of home decor on top!  There was rustic modern, retro, shabby chic and more.  If you are looking to redecorate your house, this is the store to start at.  When you visit the store, Brie who is a wonderful interior decorator will be happy to help you with in store items as well as go to your home and rework what you have or help you to shop!  Val, the owner of Chic Antique has new (old) things coming in daily.  This Event had raffles and gifts, we drank Champagne and ate cheese and grapes.  This was an upscale classy evening event.

Stay tuned for more events to come under the Event tab on www.charlestonantique.stores.

I have been visiting everyone in Summerville as well as Mt. Pleasant and next week I’ll be visiting stores in Charleston!

On the home front, my daughter, Regan who lives in NYC had a “one man” art show and sold 10 paintings and took 7 orders for more.  I am a proud Momma!

Goodbye for now and thanks for your support,
